We came here for our wedding party. great menu options. good prices attentive friendly staff. steak cooked for perfection right in front of them over an open flame highly recommended

Cannot be disturbed to open. no opening times outside. but now I know why. the crochet property seems to only open when it fascinates it. his last excuse was a footache, but he seemed to recover quickly. we eat there several times....If the menu was not available and the rest was screwed on during delivery.

Unfortunately we have to have hit the wrong night as the keule serve/boil was almost overwhelmed, the steaks were mostly gristle fat, what meat there on them was very hard. I hope it was just one thing, but I'm not going back there. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Dropped in by chance for lunch owner /manager very welcoming, Good value set menu at 11.50euros. Early Autumn means the log fire was burning with its beautiful scent pervading the room it was also the feu du bois where our main courses of...calves liver and bavette were cooked to perfection. Add some chips and a traditional green salad garnish, a plate of cheese for dessert, a glass of wine and that's a value lunch if ever I've had one.

We visited Le Colquin twice during a weeks camping nearby. The proprietor was very friendly and welcoming and our dog was welcome too. There are a series of very good value fixed price menus to choose from, all good value and all offering a choice...of fish and meat. We went for a fishy feast first time....a cassoulet of berlingots to start, oysters, moules frites and a flat fish cooked a la plancha. All excellent....the flat fish wasn't the most interesting of fish but nicely cooked. On our second visit we went for the oysters again....they were so good and followed up with steak cooked over the wood fire in the dining room. Fantastic. Prices were very reasonable given the quality of the food and the wine list was simple but again good quality and value. An excellent place for a nice meal with a warm friendly atmosphere.
