A nice bonus is that they have a special menu for lent with some really nice not meat options. You also have a very good gluten-free menu. Our waiter was kind and helpful. I recommend the groundless sweet tea.
Overall good experience. The rolls were really dry but the butter helped some. Ordered fried pickles; they were excellent. One ordered a top sirloin and fries, rated it mediocre at best. Another ordered the cowboy ribeye; Excellent cut and great flavor. We both wanted prime rib but another table asked for horse radish and were told they didn't have any so we both changed to different entrees. Would visit again. Hopefully for some prime rib.
To be fair, I just love Texas Roadhouse. So unless Cattleman's can match TR steaks, the food is unlikely ever to be a 5 star from me. That being said, I had the Prime Rib and it was Good. Not great, but good. What was great was the Margarita! A lot of restaurants give you a lot of ice in a small glass and call that a drink. My Margarita came in a medium sized glass. I'm guessing 12oz size, had the perfect amount of ice and a lot to drink. So great Job Bartender. I should have ask her name, she was great. She had a name tag but i'm not young so i couldn't read it. We had a onion ring tower and it was really good. My wife had the ribs and she said they were really good. She took what she could not finish home so that tells you they were good.
I came to eat here with my family a few weekends ago and the food was fine. Now me and my partner came back up here to visit Louisville and the food was subpar at best. My steak was entirely flavorless and fries were cold. My partner could say the same about their steak. Waitress seemed to be in a very off mood, which kind of ruined the experience. I work in food service so I understand the stresses of it but me and my partner were giving 0 problems to our waitress so I didn’t really understand the cold shoulder attitude. Our meal was $100 in total not including the tip we left. I think if they lowered their prices and maybe took some time to make their food taste better it would be worth it. It was $30 for my steak and singular side and as I said, it was completely tasteless. I had to add stuff to my steak for it to even have flavor other than just a plain meat taste. Which in my opinion, if it’s a good steak you shouldn’t have to add things. All of that being said the drinks were great! Bar staff must really know was they’re doing, definitely recommend their alcoholic drinks. About the service our waitress didn't really interact with us much. She took our orders, and brought the check. Didn't check up on us, ask if we needed anything, or ask if we wanted desert. Everyone is only human and we all have bad days, it could of just been an unfortunate day for our waitress. But again everything considered we definitely will not be returning.
We go to this location on Friday night with a group of people after playing pickleball. Our age group is late 52 to 65. The servers are always accommodating and very friendly as well. Rosie, who works the salad bar is especially friendly and smiling. The food is usually tasty, well prepared, and the salad bar is the best. Last week, my sweet potato came out under done. My server promptly brought me a new one that was prepared correctly. We appreciate having a place to go that is consistently good and clean. Thank you Cattlemen's of Lagrange Kentucky.Vegetarian options: There are baked potatoes, sweet potatoes and a variety of vegetables cooked, not to mention a full salad bar.Kid-friendliness: Seating is easy for children and there is a children's menu.Parking: There's plenty of places to park all around the restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Almost any person with dietary restriction should be able to find something to eat at this restaurant.
