Major Tom's - KYNETON

The flavors were delightful, and the staff was very friendly in a cozy atmosphere. However, the patties could have been made with mock meat or tofu instead of just mushroom and veggie patties, which were not very filling.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. Wonderful ambiance. Wide variety of vegan beers available. Often features live music events, including the Kyneton Music Festival. They offer two vegan burger options: mushroom and veggie with fries. Previously had more vegan choices like hot dogs and nachos but unfortunately, these have been reduced in favor of more meat options. Major Tom's is a versatile establishment that serves as a bar, diner, beer garden, music venue, burger joint, and a welcoming place to socialize.

Finding vegan options in a small country town can be difficult, but my husband and I were thrilled to discover a burger joint that offered genuine vegan choices! I ordered the ‘Macedon Rambler’ (mushroom burger) and my husband got the ‘Verduras Baby’ (veggie burger), both with vegan cheese. The burgers were delicious and disappeared quickly! The service was excellent and they had great music playing as well. It would be even better if the restaurant was completely vegan!

The burgers at this restaurant are excellent. The patties are thick and juicy, although slightly burnt on the outside, which is not a big problem. The cheese melted perfectly and the ingredients were fresh. The only downside was that the buns could have been softer. Overall, it's worth a visit. I highly recommend trying the Dirty Sanchez burger.

I stopped by for a quick cocktail, but I would love to come back and try their menu offerings. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service at the bar was friendly, and the aperol spritz and Bloody Mary were delicious.
