Porto Finos Italian - Krum

The only issue we have is that we order our food and pick it up since we live in Ponder. However, they always forget to include my extra rolls.

We found maggots and flies in the parmesan cheese on our table. When we brought this to the waiter's attention, he dismissed it, claiming it wasn't his problem. He also made fun of me for mispronouncing something on the Italian menu. My wife and kids were there yesterday to support a local business, and this was our experience. Not only did the waiter fail to address the issue with the cheese, but he didn't even offer to remove it or replace our meals, which we had already added the cheese to. My dish was simply a bowl of pasta and sausage swimming in grease, while my son's pizza was undercooked, with the cheese barely melted. We ended up leaving the restaurant without eating anything. I believe this place would benefit from closing down to make way for someone who truly wants to run a good local restaurant. Having dined all over the world, I can confidently say this was one of my top 10 worst dining experiences.

Having lived in the DFW area my entire life, I discovered this restaurant about seven years ago. While there are other more expensive and upscale Italian restaurants in the Metroplex, you won't find better food, friendlier service, or a more laid-back atmosphere than Portifino’s. It's surprising to find such a gem in a small country town. My go-to dishes are the Lobster Ravioli, the rolls with fresh garlic dipping sauce, and the Caesar salad. All the other pasta dishes, with a variety of sauces, are equally delicious, as is their pizza. The wine selection is also quite impressive. The owner, who is gracious and welcoming, is usually present and handles much of the cooking. Lastly, the prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to go back! The drive from DFW Airport takes about 50 minutes, but it's definitely worth it.

The wait staff and young lady taking phone orders is very rude and acts like you owe them something. Very bad customer service!

Our waitress accidentally spilled drinks which time our appointment was at 6:00:00 and then once our order was taken our order wasn't delivered until 7:00 then the food was great but do to the order being spilled I thought there should be at least a discount offered but there was not and I was a little surprised about that. They're very busy and apparently very well known I've seen lots of reviews and they have good reviews I understand and very friendly people but I was surprised about no mention of the accident and no mention of a discount for the inconvenience of the wait time and the spillage onto our bodies into our possession.
