Kashtan - Кронштадт

This is a very special place. I came there and immediately I felt like home. Wonderful atmosphere, tasty coffee with caramel and a cowberry cake! Mmm. Thank you!

We visited as a family, choosing the place based on reviews. The service was outstanding, but unfortunately, the food was terrible. Everything just tasted bad. How can you mess up chicken nuggets or French fries? Yet, they managed to do just that. The fried suluguni cheese was also a nightmare; I still can't figure out how they ruined it. Overall, if it weren't for the good mood we had from visiting Kronstadt, our day would have been spoiled. The chef needs to be fired.

The staff was friendly and the interior was cozy. I enjoyed the assortment of snacks, including sandwiches, and the hot borscht. On the downside, the portion of fries was quite small, and the restroom could use some improvement. The prices were reasonable and not too high. There's also a chestnut tree growing across the street!

As we stopped in Kronstadt for a short visit we looked for tihs place according to some online reviews. The restaurant is not so big, luckily when we came it was almost empty. The menu was in russian and english, the choice wasn't so big. What i took was beef sirloin and it was quite tasty. My wife took fish and wasn't so satisfied. The waitress was ok and we were served quite fast. Prices are quite low.

Very poor selection and the food doesn't taste good. Also, it is clearly overpriced for such a place.
