Inside it looks a bit like an old cafe, but the food is really good. We had the herring in mustard sauce and the salmon, both home made sauces, tasted great. The staff is very friendly and proud of what they serve.
We visited here on our last evening. When we went in to look at the menu, the ladies were warm and welcoming and explained the menu to us. When we went back to eat later, they were just as lovely very attentive and with such fun about them. The food was wonderful. Two of us had Starfish a poached fish, breadcrumbed fish, prawns and a dressing. We decided we should finish with a schnapps. The lady gave us four to try 3 nice, blackthorn I did not like at all. Great to try them all.
We wanted to eat at low key everyday Dane place offers simple and typical menus. We were glad to found this quiet, cozy restaurant for 6 of us traveling Copenhagen. There was only one woman serving whole place at lunch time, she was with friendly smile, made us comfortable right away. Place offers good inexpensive dishes and they are delicious! Thanks Cafe Fremtiden for our happy family lunch.
This is a great little restaurant that serves delicious Danish meals in a beautiful rustic setting. We stopped in here looking for place to get out of the rain and this was much for than that because we were treated to a couple delicious meals. I had the roast beef and pickles sandwich and my wife had the meatball sandwich and both were delicious. Rye bread is the appropriate bread of choice for both of these dishes and our meals were satisfying and we were not stuffed at the end. I really liked the decór; it was dark with exposed beam ceiling and a nautical theme and it all works.
