フィードバックを提供するIshida Kobe has been one of my most popular wagyu recommendations in recent years. I have a tradition, if I’m in Osaka I’ll make a 45-minute train ride to Kobe for lunch. We ordered the A5 Kobe beef lunch 150g 8,800¥ and the Japanese black cattle lunch 120g 4,980¥ . All lunch courses come with a salad, an appetizer, fried pickled vegetables, miso soup, white or garlic +500¥ rice, dessert sherbet , and coffee or tea. The appetizer that day was roasted wagyu beef and rare seared wagyu. The chef asked if we wanted to split the beef so we can each try both cuts, we did. The seasoning provided with your beef includes, fried garlic chips, wasabi, pepper, 2 types of salt, soy sauce, and ponzu. They really covered all their bases. The A5 Kobe beef was amazing as always. The juices explode on every bite and the melt in your mouth texture is always exciting. It’s perfect with some ponzu or wasabi to really cut through that fattiness. While the black cattle steak has that bite of meatiness to it that gives you an extra few second to savor its presence on your palate before melting. I like to just eat it with a little salt or soy sauce to really bring out that extra flavor. My wife had white rice while I opted for garlic rice that’s fried in the trimmed rendered wagyu fat. Yes, those meat pieces in the photo are wagyu fat. Worth the extra hour at the gym I guarantee it. Recommendation: Ishida has something for everyone, you can go affordable or splurge. Their lunch menu is fantastic for those who are looking to get the Kobe experience without break the bank. For me, my wife can’t eat too much wagyu because of the fattiness, can opt for the lower grade beef and still enjoy a great meal.
Amazing dinner with friendly staff. We had the select Kobe beef. Two of us split the tinder loin and the sirloin. Came with lots of extras, salad, soup, desert. We added on foie gras, which was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. A little hard to find. It's on the corner on the third floor.
Having researched the most popular restaurants in Kobe to have Kobe beef specifically, this was the best, and I support all the positive things that have been said about it. There is a crazy amount of places that serve Kobe beef and a crazy amount of variation on the authenticity and quality, so I 'd recommend this place if you want the best of both. It 's pricey to be sure, but you get what you pay for here. You can have the steak a la carte but the meal options are a great way to get the full experience. Plan to spend about 60min for the meals if all you do is eat, as each next course is prepared in front of you as you finish the first. The weight of beef may seem small, but if you haven 't had Kobe beef before be careful because it 's extremely filling 150g is about as much as the average person would likely comfortably fit. The staff were very kind and can provide service in English if needed they have an English menu as well. Maybe there 's some disconnect with reservations by phone though; I was told it was full but I walked there anyway and it was empty the whole time I was there, maybe don 't bother with reservations and just risk the line. That was the only inconvenience in an otherwise great experience!
Very tasty. the flesh was so savory and tender. they also had unique condiments and misery that they make themselves. I think they even said that they make the soup stock (dashi) out of flying cod, not only the regular water fish. I didn't think I'd mix with fat buttons. but young, lemme tells you. great experience too. you need to see them cook right in front of you. the cook knew a little English, but it was nice to have a native who could translate. the chef explained how the bark is shaved, the types of meat and many others did. I recommend going during lunch, as it is the same menu, but cheaper!
Wow, wow and wow. this place is a hidden gem. we went all the way, and went to the bounce of places, then we found them. the cook itself was amazing, the bark was great, so good quality, excellent service, everything went so perfect that it made our night. Even tho we cannot really communicate much, as we like to eat more and know his skills, but he tried to explain his best and we so much appreciated that we do not know the language. beef is always a bit expensive, but it is worth trying, there are price differences hanging where they go. here?
