The first time I went I had some sausage dinner that was unique but very good (Iasked the waitress for a recommendation) and this time I had the Monte Cristo sandwich with fries. The sandwich was awesome thefries were a tad undercooked and needed salt but... the Monte Cristo was awesome. The service was good. This is definitelyworthy of a visit. I have been their twice.
I went to Union Place for a Going Away Party, and found it to be a lovely little surprise just off Kingston Pike in Bearden. The sign on the door advertised a fun environment, and the bar itself had many different gathering places including private roomsand a large outdoor garden. It worked very well for our celebration, and looked like a really fun place to watch games withfriends! Parking is available on the North side of the building. The garden is located on the South. I had a Moscow Mule thatwas strong and flavorful and I put the beer cheese from the pretzels on the potato skin and that was perfection!
We come in a lot and have since they opened. The place has steadily moved downhill in our honest opinion. Used to get food but you can’t get it hot anymore so stopped ordering. Might get a hot sandwich every now and then but fries are always COLD. Handicapped parking is usually taken by the band, and the handrails on the other entrance side is severely damaged and shaky!!!! Restrooms are gross and sinks are hanging off the walls. Men’s room is always slick for the handicapped! Last straw was jacking up the price on a bucket of 5-12oz coors lights… went from $15 to $19. Supposed to get a deal on a bucket….Really ridiculous as it’s only $7 for a 6 pack at Kroger’s…..and you know they’re making crazy money already on a bucket and no work for the bartender or server, other than filling the bucket with ice and removing it. Rather get better beer for same money at a Brewery, so good luck!Too many other great places in K-Town!!!!
The soup was good, the rest was okay, but the portion was small and the waitress forgot to serve Mac and cheese that was supposed to be part of the dish. Not coming back.
GREAT FOOD!! The homemade fries are perfect! The unsweet tea had a weird flavor hopefully just an off day. So there are tables inside, but I would never sit in there, the bar atmosphere is uncomfortable. Drunk losers inside and families sitting outside. Someone took their little girl into the bathroom and had to walk past the bar where the conversation was inappropriate. So I wouldn't say it's a good place to bring kids. The patio is big, beautiful, and dog friendly, one of the best in Knoxville.Parking: Lot across the street on Chambliss
