フィードバックを提供するI probably should have written this months ago, but tonight I would have had to come back and changed it. Five months ago, this place was the best place in Knoxville to get Fish and Chips. It was authentic and tasted great. Well tonight I went back and while I was looking forward to a great meal like most of these reviews and my previous experience I found a different place. The fish might as well be fish sticks from Krogers and the chips were cooked in stale oil. We were offered appetizers but no drinks and when we asked for drinks, the request was ignored. Until I went to the bar and they said they would get the waitress. The food took forever to come to us and when it finally did come, one of the meals had to be redone. Then to top it off, when I asked for the check I had to go to the bar (again) and say can I pay you to the bartender. Our waitress was wandering off somewhere, the bartender said "I will go find you waitress. "Finn 's used to be a great place, now it is a place of memories.Gone are the days that there was a smiling face at the top of the stairs, and a waiter who made the atmosphere what it was. There was laughing and great food, now it is just a shell of the place it was.
First off. Tony was such a joy. Then the hot pimento cheese dip arrived with fresh grilled pita bread. Then the conversation was over the top great! Then the corn beef and cabbage with perfectly cooked carrots and potatoes showed up and I felt like I was transported back to my Granny's kitchen. Best meal I have had in 15 years.Food: 5/5
Had a wonderful time over the weekend, delicious food, fantastic atmosphere, and Markeita took wonderful care of us. Definitely a good place to grab a comfortable evening's dinner and drinks. Hands down the best fish and chips I've had outside of the the UK!Food: 5/5
We had a wonderful experience. Prompt friendly service. Delicious, hot food. We dined in the bar with live music and pub-like atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Finding the entrance is part of the experience, haha. You need to enter on the first floor near the oil change place with the 1900 above the door with a really cool design in the glass. The hot pimento appetizer was very good. We had the bakers burger and fish and chips. The burger was good, very thick, and I'd recommend the bacon and cheader cheese. I will say the burger was almost a little too thick, good flavor, but it was a lot. The burger sauce that came on the side was freaking awesome, almost a mixture of a nice seeded mustard, horseradish, and mayo. This was great on the burger and a dipping sauce for the fries, but really would have loved a warm soft pretzel appetizer with it. We also tried the fish and chips which were good, but needed a little more flavor. We also tried the James and Ginger and an Old Fashion, both were decent. Over all it was good and we would try this place again, but it was a bit on the pricey side. We ate in the pub which was nice and our server was excellent.
