El Mezcal - Knoxville

The beef tasted clearly frozen and past its prime, and the management appeared indifferent to the issue. Instead of addressing my concerns, they insisted that everything was made fresh daily, which was clearly not true. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone—not even cockroaches. The menus had a musty smell, as if they had been cleaned with damp, dirty rags. If you're looking to enjoy a meal without risking your health, I suggest steering clear of this place.

The food was good, although a bit more expensive than what I'm accustomed to for Mexican cuisine. The salsa and cheese were too spicy for my 6-year-old. However, the servers were friendly.

It is my first time eating here and it is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in Knoxville. I just picked up takeout from here and it?s delicious. Very nice restaurant to walk into and the staff was so friendly. Thank you!

I enjoyed a refreshing large frosty mug of sweet tea—just what I wanted! The nachos were wonderfully crunchy. Overall, the food was great!

Always a great time here. Super friendly and efficient staff, great food (try the ceviche, it's not on the menu).
