Mother Shipton Inn - Knaresborough

"After visiting the Mothership Cave, we found this restaurant to be ideally situated for families coming from the attraction. The staff warmly welcomed us and our two huskies. The building is quite old, full of character, with plenty of space and interesting things to see. The food was excellent; I had a sandwich while my partner ordered the fish, and both dishes came in generous portions. The prices were very reasonable as well. The staff remained friendly and engaged in conversation throughout our visit. I would definitely recommend stopping here for a meal when you visit the cave."

What can I say went yesterday evening to my mother 80th birthday of the moment when we went into the renter and staff could not be enough for us, we all ordered eat only a word delicious! everything was presented so well and tasted amazingly 2 of us had the red wine lammschaft it just fell from the bone, my nephew had the torte of the day that was filled with meat, 2 the party had the steak, that looked beautiful, the clobig chips are exactly that. I would definitely recommend others. we will visit again.

Sunday lunch...just about the best I've ever had! Absolutely devine and such a great job of the refurb. Really kept the character of the place. Couldn't recommend more for great food and a great welcome!

Beautiful pub plus Sam and Tony are the best hosts! The food though! I would travel miles to taste Sam's menu's, always exciting and perfectly cooked, with fresh well sourced ingredients! Best food in the area by far

I’ve dined at some excellent restaurants, but this pub truly stands out as the best. Every dish ordered by our party of four was beautifully presented and tasted even more delicious. I had the cake of the day, minted lamb, and house-made chips—honestly, it was the best cake I’ve ever had. It was so delightful that even though I was full, I couldn’t bring myself to leave any behind. They’ve transformed this old pub wonderfully. The atmosphere is lovely, and the food is even better. Kudos to both!
