The service was okay nothing bad or good about it. The ambience is a little dark which I personally don't like they don't offer outside dining either. But was a nice place to eat and kids enjoyed the fried rice. They have a nice variety in their menu so something for all.
Ordered shrimp tempura sushi, fried tofu, and the appetizer platter. Upon opening the bag, the whole bag and car smelled like old rotten fish! Sushi also tasted old, it was absolutely disgusting. The appetizer platter was cold and over fried, chicken wings were tiny and had no meat on them. Seriously! It was like hard jerky. Fried tofu was okay at best. Will never return here again!
My 12 year old son has gotten interested in sushi all of a sudden. I am also a fan but no one else is in the family so naturally I started searching for the best reviewed spot near us on Yelp. That brought us to Sanya. It did not disappoint. Food was great. The sushi was exceptional. My son's tastes are on the high priced side with his Deluxe sushi combo lol. They even had something the 4 year old enjoyed. I recommend you check them out if you're in the area!
My spouse wanted sushi. The presentation was the most beautiful we have ever seen. It looked like flowers on a plate. We wish we had thought to take a picture. Oh, and there was no rice; instead, the “flowers” were on a bed of finely shredded Asian radish. Perfect for a diabetic who is concerned with the carbs in rice.
We came around 3pm for a late lunch/early dinner and were pleasantly surprised to be able to partake of the lunch specials that would end at 3:30pm. I decided on the daily $5.95 Mango Martini special which was actually a bit more sour than expected, but cocktail-sour-appropriate level. I almost wonder if it was the sweetness of the house salad dressing that then made the cocktail seem a bit more sour than expected. The house salad was included with the lunch 3 Maki Special, which was 6 pieces of Philly, California, and Spicy Tuna rolls for $13.95. The combo hibachi lunch of chicken and steak for $14.50 was a great deal with a naturally sweet and salty teriyaki sauce and plenty of cooked vegetables and fried rice along with a soup or salad. Shrimp tempura appetizer came with 3 shrimp and a set of tempura vegetables- all perfectly crispy and not too oily, with a very light soy vinegar dipping sauce that's much less salty than straight soy. The service was efficient and kind and managed to welcome a walk-in group of 20 people around 4pm with barely a blink of an eye when setting up room for them to all sit together with no advance notice.
