Henry Viii Carvery - KITTERY

We were so looking forward to two delicious roast beef sandwiches for a picnic at York Beach. When we unwrapped them, we could not believe it! It was literally fatty cubes, not sliced, roast beef on a small white hoagie roll with 1 piece of lettuce. These were 12.00 or a tad more, a piece! This is unacceptable for any sandwich shop to serve let alone one that was highly recommended by a server at YHI. Will never go back and can only hope other menu items are a lot better than this rip off!

I don’t understand the Good reviews on here!! The meat was so tough!! I had to spit the pieces out! Could not chew!! Gross!! I have never had roast beef like this!! Not going back!!

Staff was friendly but the roast beef is cubed and unedible. It's pretty much raw cubed meat warmed up and served on soggy bread. I went here months ago and just can't get it out of my head how horrendous the food was. The equivalent of dog food on a bun... but the staff killed it! Super friendly and attentive!

This place is my favorite place of all time! I miss them in Monument Square in Portland. I wish they would open a location in the Portland area.

A unique concept nicely themed. The meats are well prepared and tasty. An widely variety of toppings are offered with turkey, pork or roast beef. The fresh baked rolls are lined with a well seasoned Herb butter.
