フィードバックを提供するI was recommended to meet some friends at this restaurant and it was a great choice. The restaurant is set in a museum and its small size adds to its charm. The staff are very friendly and helpful in recommending dishes. Everyone enjoyed the drink options and I particularly enjoyed the freshly made dinner on my second visit. The charm of the restaurant and the friendly staff made us want to spend the entire evening there.
My true rating is a 3.5, but I have rounded down only because there were not a lot of options for me given various food allergies and some items were a bit dry, although tasty.I had the lettuce wrap with chorizo and ground beef. There are several other toppings. It was basically a deconstructed nacho dish with lettuce instead of tortilla chips. I ran out of lettuce wraps and dumped all of the contents into a bowl and made a chili of sorts. It was flavourful, but messy at times which is to be expected with a wrap. The lemon blueberry cupcake was a tad sweet for my liking, but still managed to have distinct lemon and blueberry flavours, which is impressive. I liked the cream cheese frosting which helped to moisten what was a slightly dry, but tasty cupcake. I also appreciated the cookie served with my coffee. Nice European touch. Finally, the service was excellent. Attentive, professional and friendly. My colleague also enjoyed her lunch and appreciated the service. The pricing is fair.I would recommend this restaurant and I would go back myself. It's a relaxed, cute restaurant that is a bit eclectic without being tacky. It could work well for a business lunch, but there are a few children there from time to time.
I've been going to the B for over a year now and have yet to be disappointed. They have an ever changing selection of beers to try making every visit a new experience. Their menu is seasonal and never dull. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxing with a good view of King Street for people watching. The staff if very nice, always happy to see us and very knowledgeable in their ever changing beer selection. If you're looking for a good place to lean back and enjoy an easy afternoon or evening (they often have evening gigs for music lovers too) this is the place to go!
We went to B last night for the first time. I was pleased to see so many diverse and interesting vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the pulled jackfruit that looked great, unfortunately the texture and sweetness was not appealing to me. There was nothing wrong with the dish but I don’t eat many sweets so I’m super sensitive to sweet. I probably shouldn’t have ordered the dish in the first place but I was hoping the spice would tone down the sweet. The manager was so accommodating and allowed me another option on the menu, put a rush order in on it, and also gave some extra perks on the dish. I had the fish tacos, which were exceptional. My husband loved his burger. I was impressed with how much they went over and above to keep their customer satisfied.
Underwhelming from outside, but cool bar and restaurant inside. Enjoyed the food, the beer selection and the vibe. Offers a few vegetarian choices. Would return.
