Khasturi - Kingston upon Thames

We tried somewhere new and totally regretted it. Neither the madras nor vindaloo were even remotely spicy. The king prawn dish contained 3 tiny prawns. Both dishes were swimming in oil, and the majority went in the bin. The response of the management was that they had looked at CCTV ??? and the correct quantity of prawns HAD gone in. Odd. And that 25 years of creating curry means they have finely tuned the spice levels for each dish. Well 25 years of eating curry has taught me about spice levels, and these were way off. AVOID AVOID AVOID

My family and I have been ordering from Khasturi for many years as the food has always been delicious, with excellent quality and quantity, and delivered very quickly, however over the past year we have noticed the portions getting smaller and smaller with less meat and less paneer. We were very disappointed once again last night to find a number of our dishes only half full, items missing from our order and the food was barely warm on arrival. Sad to say we will be ordering from elsewhere in future to avoid further disappointment.

I ordered online for pick-up. The order was ready when I arrived, which was great. I had the Special mixed grill and Khasturi starter. The ingredients were high quality with a decent flavor, but could have used more spice. They also included a couple of popadums, which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It seemed like a good deal for the price.

Food has always been ok, but s9metimes different dishes taste the same although different in colour. I would be happier if they could improve their 4 star food hygiene rating to 5 though.

I ordered through Deliveroo . They were already 30 minutes late . I rang asked where it was from they said on there way . I rang 30 minutes later . They said never had order . When I got on to Deliveroo, they offered me a free dish sorry but no, I went against my better judgement and gave you a chance, never again .
