Umai Asian Bistro - Kings Park

Quality is just not there. Appreciate that there is an Asian fusion in the Kings Park area, but the sushi is lackluster and the Thai dishes is just not up to snuff. Needs a quality upgrade on each item. The Chicken Pad Thai is uninspired, and the sparsely thin pieces of chicken reminds me of what a school cafeteria would throw in. The special sushi rolls are subpar, especially for those prices. The regular rolls are just ok, and barely so. In an area on the North shore that has sushi and Thai places... it would behoove this place to look at the difference in quality. Not ready for prime time.

The Chicken Thai Red Curry was inedible. The chicken was gummy, chewy and almost raw. I even tried cooking it further. Didnt help. It didnt cook like chicken normally would. Didnt look, taste feel or even cook like any chicken Ive every had. WAS it actually chicken??? Hot and sour soup had an odd taste as well. This is the second time I have tried place. The 1st time wasnt great but I thought Id give them another chance. I wont be ordering from them ever again!

Good food, ready when they said it would be, definitely will be going back!

Filet mignon teriyaki and Umai bun were fantastic!
