I ordered takeout from this restaurant and it was a terrible experience. The sauce had no taste, the onion bhajis were undercooked and raw inside, and the popadoms were stale. The Bombay aloo tasted odd. I have always been a regular customer of this place, but I will not be returning after this disappointing meal.

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant on a Friday night. It was surprisingly not very busy, despite the numerous deliveries being made. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. Although I couldn't finish my meal, my husband with a hearty appetite was able to just barely finish his. The service was excellent with a very attentive waitress. I was able to take home the leftovers and enjoyed them the next day. We would definitely come back for another meal the next time we visit my hometown. It's a shame the restaurant has changed so much since my last visit.

Ordered a home-delivery on-line at 6.10pm and it said delivery would be 7.15. It had not arrived by 7.45 so I rang the restaurant and they said it was on the way. It arrived about 5 minutes later. When we unpacked we realised that there were no poppadoms. Now I know it sounds trivial but they cost nearly £4 for 4 poppadoms, so I rang the restaurant. She said she would send the car straight back with them. I took that to mean that the delivery driver would be back very shortly. In retrospect i should have told her to give us a refund. At 9.56pm the poppadoms arrived! 2 hours after the food. I told the delivery person it was too late, handed them back and said i wanted a refund. She was a bit annoyed and obviously didn't get it that it was just too late to deliver a starter. Ruined our Saturday night.

I ordered a curry dish and was disappointed to find that it was mainly made up of onions. The sauce was also not to my liking and the naan bread was not fresh. Overall, I was highly disappointed with the meal and would not choose to dine there again.

Delicious food, selected from a wide- ranging menu, in a nice setting close to the town centre, with friendly, speedy service and a very welcoming host.
