Food is creative, flavourful and nicely presented. Definitely cooked with passion and a treat to eat there. Mains in the $mid twenties. A bonus is the pretty, picture perfect gardens surrounding the country venue.
We dined here for lunch today and the food was to die for! The staff are super friendly and we really found it difficult to choose from the menu because it all looked too good. They really know their produce and how to highlight the flavours of every component on the plate. There is not one thing that you could fault about everything that was served. We had the Beer battered Flathead with chips and salad and the Steak with potato mash and salad followed up by the mango and orange liqueur Cheesecake and the Pineapple ginger cake. I am thinking that we will be back in the next couple of weeks to dine here again. What a fantastic treasure for the North West Coast. They also cater for weddings and functions and the views and gardens are stunning.
A must see when in Tassie. Owned and run by an elderly couple who do all the maintenance themselves plus work in the cafe. The gardens go on forever and leave me speechless. You have to see them to believe it. Made me very jealous of my garden back home.
This was a very pleasant spot to stop and "smell the roses". Would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet spot to enjoy good food
We went for lunch at the cafe and had the most amazing seafood in a filo basket with creamy sauce. Highly recommended very nice. Followed by a stroll through the lovely gardens, a perfect way to spend a beautiful Tassie day. A little suggestion, it would good if the tree types were labelled, there are some amazing trees here
