Railside Tavern - Killingly

After going to our old reliable, Willimantic Brewing Company, we found a completely new and pretentious menu that does not match the once beloved food we loved so well. Ah, it's okay. Why is it okay? We found a new reliable in Railside Tavern. The dinner was literally half the price of what we paid at Willi. Anything you order will be made to satisfy your craving. My husband asked if they could prepare sautéed spinach as a side, and since spinach was on the menu raw, the kitchen agreed to cook the spinach and saute it. Where can you go and get that kind of service? The meat melts in your mouth here, the fries are the crispy kind with the skin still on, and the seafood... Don't get me started. We will be coming up for dinner at least once a week. And, the money we save by eating here as compared to old reliable, will be given as gratuity to the amazing waitstaff. Whoever is making the executive decisions for the amazing food needs a Michelin. Seriously. Thank you for giving inland, Eastern Connecticut, a real elegant place to eat, in a come as you are environment. You are loved.

Best kept secret around ! . Try the chowder it’s amazing to match the rest of the amazingly delicious food . Great drinks and friendly atmosphere.

Excellent menu. Yesterday my wife got French onion soup that she said was incredible! Today we got lobster Mac and cheese, sweet Thai chili wings and stuffed quahogs. The kids got chicken tenders. Everything was absolutely amazing, but kind of pricey. 3 soups was $35, lobster Mac and cheese was $30. But great food and service.

This place is a gem! Outstanding food, generous portions and affordable.

An affordable eatery with a varied menu. Service is quick, wait staff is *always* pleasant, and I almost always leave with enough leftovers for a second meal.
