We have visited this restaurant about five times, and each time the food has been consistently delicious. The restaurant is always impeccably clean. The young servers are thorough and attentive, which is impressive. I’m not sure how the manager trains these teenagers to be so polite and attentive, but we always receive excellent service. It’s quite remarkable. We hadn’t dined in a sit-down restaurant for about ten months due to COVID, but I felt very safe here. They use white butcher paper as table coverings along with disposable plates, menus, utensils, and more. Despite being cautious about dining out during the pandemic, I felt comfortable eating here. The atmosphere is charming, and the staff is friendly and dressed professionally. One of my key indicators of a restaurant's quality is the condition of its restroom, so after being seated, I made a trip to check it out. I was happily surprised by how clean and well-stocked it was. The decor is simple yet down-to-earth, truly reflecting a working-class vibe. One standout feature was the sink shaped like Texas, which I found particularly enjoyable. Alongside the standard hand soap, there was also a bottle of specialty soap, adding a little extra charm to the experience. Our server was not only friendly but also prompt in serving food and drinks, taking great care of my family throughout our visit. As for the food, it was satisfactory. I ordered the chopped brisket and ribs plate, accompanied by a salad and fried okra, and I was pleased with everything served. My family also enjoyed their meals, including my wife, who ordered the Sunday special German plate. She mentioned that her dish was even better than what she had at the two well-known German restaurants in the area. Overall, Big Hoss BBQ surpassed our expectations and satisfied our craving for quality BBQ. I would definitely recommend it and am looking forward to returning!

Don’t let the exterior fool you—this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food is fresh and tastes incredible. The interior is both beautiful and clean, and the service is quick. Everything was just right. I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely be coming back!

Big Hoss has friendly staff and great food. Our first visit to Big Hoss and the staff provided bread so my children could feed the goats. We recommend the jalapeno saddles and the cheesecake is fantastic. Their brisket is very good but is not served wet, with provided sauce it is awesome but eating it without sauce is a tad dry. Ribs, pulled pork and sausages are also very good. The buns on their sandwiches are toasted to perfection with some char on the edges. We are looking forward to eating at Big Hoss next weekend, it one of the best BBQ places we have eaten at in Texas.
