O'briens Sandwich Cafe - Kilkenny

The food was very nice. Salads and wraps, also bagels are delicious. But couldn't understand where to start queueing as staff were busy and didn't pay much attention. Other people also were confused where to start ordering the food.

I would give it no stars if I could. Terrible manager who has no customer service skills and is unable to speak to customers. Asked for a club Sandwich with no avocado well toasted. When it arrived there was avocado in it so asked for a second one with no avocado and for the middle slice to be toasted also as the sandwich is very soggy. Second one came out looking very anemic and the middle slice not toasted. When I gave the sandwich back asking for it to be toasted slightly longer and for the middle slice to actually be toasted the manager came out with the cash amount of the sandwich stating in a near shouting voice I am going to give you a refund. I asked back if I could just get the sandwich toasted instead of singed bread still soggy inside. He then started to raise his voice in a full area stating that he is just giving me a refund. I had to ask him to stop shouting at me and speak to me the same way I was to him (speaking without making a scene) As I said terrible manager who obviously is unable to deal with the pressure of lunchtime service and customer complaints.

Very rude staff with horrible attitude to customers with children! Mentioned what happened to manager.. He looked at me like I had 10 heads and no apology. Went across to Quigleys where the staff were so pleasant and kind.. Will never set foot in O'briens again.

Like always great experience. Food and service great.

It's an O'Brien's , overpriced sandwiches coffee etc , it'll do when your stuck and there's nothing better close by, update , same as last time but I'd like to add staff are really nice
