We go to Vicky's about every 4 to 6 weeks. The menu, whilst unchanging except for specials, has sufficient variety for this degree of regularity. The food is genuinely good, the portions generous, and the service friendly and efficient. The young wait staff manage to make all customers welcome, and Fifi seems to know most of them, which says something about customer retention!Very good value. I recommend the grilled flounder.
Vicky's is a cosy family restaurant that offers good value and great flavours; the premises aren't fashionable - there's carpet on the floor! - but it's clean and warm in winter and cool in summer thanks to great climate control, and the staff - nice young students - are on the ball - and owners are there to do their best for you. The pizzas are tasty - not wood kiln, with what I like: a taste of garlic, and the marinara pizza is pleasing (ask for thin crust) and for me it's a frequent favourite. For a small place off the main drag it has a surprising choice of fresh seafood on the menu: scallops and prawns are always there in different styles as entrees and main courses, and again it's traditional, not trendy. The wine list is clever: the house wines are inexpensive but of a medium plus quality- they give you very good value - and there is no problem with BYO wine either. It really is a cosy little place of two dining rooms, with walls like a Spanish café with the rough plaster finish and pale paint, which works with the grey carpet. Popular with retirees and also groups of younger people. Good coffee too. It's a quiet environment and the patrons are pleasant and civilised. Fred and Sue, Geoff and Gail, Anita, Richard, Dale and Judy, all love the place.
Although it is a first visit, we are very satisfied with what we have. The pizza is special, you can know that it is a family recepi, so is the spaghetti marinara. The recommended beef shank is also very well done. Will recommend to all my friends who like Italian food.
I've dined at VICKY'S several times with family and friends. The staff are amazing and the food is sensational. The gnocchi Gorgonzola is the best in town. Meals are cooked to order and arrive promptly. I'd highly recommend VICKY'S to anyone.
