The sauce was a bit too garlicky for my taste, but it had a pleasant sweetness instead of being acidic. Due to inflation, the prices are higher than they were last year, but this is the real deal. If you’ve only eaten chain pizzas, you haven't truly experienced what pizza can be. Authentic pizza isn’t made in a conveyor belt oven at 500 degrees; it’s cooked in a traditional Italian oven at 700 degrees with fresh toppings and cheeses—not the pre-packaged kind. The handmade dough is allowed to rise slowly for a full day or two, enhancing its flavor. In my opinion, it’s worth every penny. I had the large works special, as shown.
The Boerne location has closed, and now this one will be shutting down at the end of the year. It seems like they're already giving up. I ordered the lunch special to go: two slices of pepperoni and an unsweetened tea with extra ice. When I picked up my order, I found that my tea had no ice, and the pizza slices were burnt—not just slightly browned on the crust, but completely blackened and charred. The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because the guy at the window was really nice.
We also tried the chicken bacon ranch pizza, but unfortunately, the chicken lacked any flavor and appeared unseasoned. Overall, the meal was just okay, but the way the manager handled a particular issue left me feeling disappointed. Towards the end of the meal, I noticed a black spot at the bottom of the parmesan shaker, which I recognized as mold. I felt embarrassed as I was the only one who saw it, especially since we had eaten everything. Afterward, I waited until I was alone to call and discuss the issue with a manager. However, her response was rather passive; she only said “I’m sorry,” and when I expressed my concern about possibly getting sick, she replied, “Well, let me know if you do.” That was the extent of our conversation. Fortunately, we seem to be fine, but this experience has highlighted that the restaurant could use some improvements. The windows are always dirty, there are flies everywhere, and now mold in the parmesan shakers doesn't help their case.
A bit of a wait but the oven roasted pizza is worth every minute. I was worried it would be cooked too long but it was simple a perfect slice.... Well the whole medium was perfect as I left no left overs. I believe this is the best pizza in town possiblethe county or even Anywhere West of Austin. and put an egg on it.
This place is fantastic! I ordered a large Onassis pizza, and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. The customer service was excellent as well!
