City Barbeque - Kentwood

Delicious barbecue! Got the pulled pork and the brisket (brisket was very tasteful but a little dry). All right. Fun sauces and sides like Coleslaw, Mac n cheese, roasted greens, baked beans, corn bread, etc. home made peach cobbler. Bummer that sometimes they run out of what you want, but I suppose that's because it's popular? Hmm. Maybe they could fix it. Didn't have the peach cbbler my husband was looking forward to, but they put other objects for us. Friendly staff. Give samples of brisket and turkey. We're coming back!

We were in town this evening for a sporting event, and decided to try City BBQ. The food was really delicious. My kids loved it. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Recommend to all. (PS banana pudding is amazing).

Got these as an UberEats order and they were DELICIOUS. As long as it tastes good, I don't care what it looks like. Juicy chicken sandwich and amazing Mac and cheese. Will absolutely eat again here.

It is hard to win at barbecue, but these guys should have absolutely no problem claiming total victory. This was some of the best barbecue I've had in a good while, the brisket was tasty, season just so perfectly, and was not filled with fat and grease like most places. The breast/wing combo we had, was tender juicy tangy savory and sweet all at the same time. A mouth-watering experience. I didn't even know that there was a such thing as salted caramel banana pudding, but I know I like it, and want more of it. You do yourself a great disservice if you do not go to this restaurant. Great food, pleasant service, in a small quaint eclectic surrounding makes this one of Grand rapids hidden gems. I'm definitely going back.

I ordered the pulled pork and Polish sausage, served with baked beans and green beans, while my husband enjoyed the pulled pig and brisket. Our daughter had a few plates as well. The meats were juicy and perfectly seasoned, and we were surprised by the generous portions—much more than we anticipated. The baked beans were delicious and had a nice thickness, just as I like them. We even ended up taking leftovers home! We tried the original sauce and plan to sample the spicy sauce next time. The restaurant, including the restrooms, was clean, and I noticed the staff actively cleaned the tables as soon as guests left. Thank you for an excellent dining experience and delicious food, especially considering you were short-staffed. You all did an amazing job! I’m so pleased to have discovered your restaurant, and we will definitely be returning.
