The fish and chips were delicious, reminiscent of the classic Skippers experience, while the chicken naan featured small pieces of tandoori chicken wrapped in bread—a tasty, dry snack. The staff was friendly and entertaining; they made me laugh. This gas station restaurant will suffice for my Skippers cravings, and I’m also pleased to see they offer buffet options.
When I set out to find a Skippers, I wasn’t expecting to discover it within a gas station alongside Indian cuisine, but there it was. Initially, I was doubtful, but I thought, why not? Since it was during the COVID-19 pandemic, they only offered take-out. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff was and how clean and efficient the place was. I placed my order through GrubHub for pickup and enjoyed my meal at a nearby park. As a long-time fan of Skippers, I can confirm that the food is authentic Skippers fare. The fish was hot, fresh, and crispy! So while it may not be a traditional Skippers setting, it definitely serves Skippers food. I'll definitely be back for more!
Although it was a bit tricky to locate since it's attached to a gas station, there was ample parking available. Once I received my food, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality—it far exceeded the terrible fish and chips commonly found in the USA and reminded me more of what you’d typically find in Australia. If you plan to visit, just look for the gas station next to McDonald's; the restaurant is located inside it. The decor is quite basic, but given how disappointing most fish and chips are in America, and considering that this place is in a gas station, Skippers turned out to be a delightful surprise.
Fish, Shrimp. What more can I say.
