A delightful pub with outdoor seating by the river. The service is attentive, and the food is excellent.

I received a call around noon informing me that there was no table available and that the booking system had malfunctioned. The person I spoke to was quite abrupt. If they had contacted me at the time of my booking, I might have had a better chance of securing a reservation elsewhere. I'm very disappointed with the service from a place I used to love, especially as a loyal customer.

We had Sunday lunch at this restaurant, and all four of us ordered the roast. Both the food and the service were excellent, so we will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

Overall a fabulous meal. Gave a lower score for service and ambience becvause asked if I could have some warm beries for dessert instead of the marshmellow merringue mess but couldnt get the waitress to understand. Booked through open table. We were seatd in rather a dark corner of the room which was difficult to see. The ham hock was lovely.
