We got takeout and took to beach to watch sunset. There were 7 of us, three of which were children. They had cheeseburgers which they said were the best . My husband and I had the catch if the day which happened to be ahi. Portions were large and fish was delicious. We also got dessert which was all very good...chocolate macadamia pie, cheesecake with various fruit topping. Highly recommend. Staff was extremely helpful.
So do I use the absolute scale or the relative scale? I used the latter. 4 circles on the absolute scale. Really tasty local grub. We had the ahi plate with lobster/crab cake and the lobster/crab cake plate. The side of crab macaroni salad was different and very good. The fish cakes, breaded with Panyko and open-fire grilled were tasty.
We visited this spot for a quick lunch. We got poke with seaweed salad and the lobster crab cake. Everything tasted great and it wasn't too expensive. We actually ate down the street at a local park with much better views than the parking lot.
We had our 1st meal on the island here and although not our 1st choice, it was one of the very few places on our list that was still open at 5pm the day before Thanksgiving. Really casual spot with several picnic tables outside and only a portable restroom. They have a sign that says they cook your food to order so prepare to wait a bit after ordering. Let’s start with the so so dishes… I thought the Kalbi plate was just A OK with its sweet marinade and under charred meat. Their Ahi Spicy Tuna was too heavy on the mayo but no doubt the fish was uber fresh. What I loved was the Wasabi Ahi truly refreshing and the fish was nicely highlighted here. I got the Deluxe plate which was served with your choice of poke atop their fantastic Lobster Crab Cake as well as white or brown rice. Their Grilled Furikake Ahi was another stellar dish. It was the fresh catch of the day and you’d know it was the instant you cut it with your fork and pop it in your mouth. It was super tender, juicy, and simply mouthwatering. As all Hawaiian plates, it came with your choice of rice and macaroni salad but their version of the latter was unique as it had crab meat and egg. I really liked it. Lastly, do save room for dessert because their Lilikoi Cheesecake is definitely worth the extra calories. Not a bad way to kick off our vacay, I’d say.
