Nikko Sushi And Ramen - Kaysville

We've gone a couple times at the point of this review. My husband and I absolutely loved it! The service we received was nothing short of kind and caring. You can tell the lovely people who work here put so much care into their job. The food tastes amazing, they know how to cook chicken! The outstanding service we received that I wanted to write about was actually over text! Our first visit we tried the House Sake. I'm personally not one for sake, but my husband and I really enjoyed it. I just bought him a sake set and wanted to surprise him with the sake we had, so I messaged the restaurant off of the website. The response was so quick! I was surprised since it was before business hours as well. But they were super sweet and personable, answered my question and recommended another sake to try as well. The service in and out of the restaurant has been exceptional. The only reason my review isn't a five star, is purely just the size of the building. Especially on weekend nights, it's incredibly busy and I feel bad for the employees. My husband and I are incredibly patient, so we really don't mind the wait for everything, but we are waiting for quite some time for food. The wait is definitely worth it though! Every plate is delicious. TL;DR Please eat here, it's incredibly deserving and delicious!

Came here on Wednesday, September 28th. The service was excellent. I ordered the Ramen, my wife ordered some type of noodles, and we got some type of pot stickers for an appetizer. My Ramen was VERY good. I did the pork bone broth. I highly recommend it. Not pictured is her son's dish with the New York steak in the broth with the thicker noodles, and that was excellent. We'll definitely be going back.

My boyfriend and I went here, and the service was exceptional. We were seated with our drinks and a starter on the way within five minutes. Ashley was a phenomenal server, her customer service was amazing, and kept up with our table plus others in a timely manner. The food was amazing, and the desserts were the best!

This place is delicious! Ashley our server was very kind and attentive. The food was really the star of the ball. Most other Japanese restaurants are more like $18 a plate. The prices here are $12 15 a plate.

I feel bad leaving 3 stars, but there was not a single item that was satisfying in this giant order. The Spider roll is a soft shell crab roll. The crab was very fishy and unpleasant. This is not how good soft shell crab should taste in sushi. The sauce it was on was also not complimenting anything well. The Playboy and Crispy rolls were both suffering from a lack of freshness in the quality of the fish. The ratios of sauce and other toppings on these rolls created a flavor combination that just did not work well. Texture was also off the mark by a lot. The batter used in the Karaage chicken appetizer was very salty. The sauce the chicken came with was also unpleasant. The calamari appetizer was average. The shoyu ramen was the biggest let down. The broth had a slightly sweet, but very bland flavor. Nobody in my party liked any of the food, including myself. Unfortunate. I will say that the presentation on the sushi was decent. It looked fine. I also enjoyed my brief interaction with the staff. Very nice people. Overall, it is safe to say I will not be coming back to this restaurant for sushi or ramen or appetizers, but maybe there are other things on the menu that are better.
