The Grill - Kawartha Lakes

Four of us were driving back to the city in our car and were feeling quite hungry.

The restaurant has only been open for a short time, but the soft serve ice cream machine is already malfunctioning.

The burger sure hit the spot when I arrived in Kinmount very hungry. The meat is one of those flat seemingly pre-made patties.......but tastier than most and not overly laden with salt as are some. Choices of a few ingredients.....fresh tomatoes, peppers, etc. Pretty good. Quickly served.

We live in haliburton but my lady and I make a weekly visit to "The Grill" because of their great food and wonderful owners. There is very few places in the highlands that take as much pride in their food/service as the folks at The Grill. As a matter if fact we are going back there tonight.

We stopped here on a motorcycle tour just as they were opening for lunch (11:00am). The place looks to be new, or alternatively, very well kept. It's clean and modern while having a country rustic feel. The burgers were big and tasty and made to order. The grilled chicken sandwich was the same with generous breast meat. All were served on fresh buns with a smile. Delicious fries and cold drinks rounded out the meal. Several other choices including fish are on the menu (see picture). There is a large, clean bathroom around back, seating on the patio, and several picnic tables around the big property. A great place to fill up on delicious food and take a peaceful break...enjoy.
