Jar Yin Chinese - Katy

I've sampled nearly all the Chinese takeout options for lunch since the Covid pandemic began, and I have to say, this one stands out as the best in terms of flavor, portion size, and aroma. The prices are excellent considering the quality of food provided. Unlike many others, it doesn't have that plastic-like taste. When I called to place my order, I was met with a cheerful, friendly voice who confirmed my order to ensure everything was correct. Overall, I definitely plan to return soon to satisfy my cravings for Chinese lunch!

I typically don't dine at Chinese restaurants in Houston because I can't help but compare them to what I experienced in Shanghai. However, this is the only Chinese restaurant I frequent (though I do occasionally grab Panda Express for its convenience and generous portions). I place an order once a week, always requesting the cooked fish fillets and house roasted rice. Both dishes are delicious and provide more than enough food to feed my family of four, including two small children.

This is a family-owned restaurant, and you can really feel that warm, welcoming atmosphere. The place is clean and comfortable. The food was excellent! We tried the Singapore Flavor Mei Fun, which was delicious, and the Thai Red Curry Chicken. While the curry didn’t quite taste authentically Thai, it was still tasty. The portion sizes are generous; we left feeling satisfied without being stuffed, and we even had enough leftovers for two more meals. We will definitely be returning!
