Made the trip out to Kaslo on our Kootenay road trip specifically to go eat this poutine as suggested by a friend of ours who used to live in the area. Definitely lived up to the hype best poutine we’ve ever eaten. Fish and chips were fantastic too, and they had a cotton candy sundae!? I wish I had more room as I would have gotten that. Friendly and fast service. Kaslo is a really cute, quaint town and would be worth the trip up!
The man who I assume is the owner, was extremely rude and miserable. At one point he was across the road in an argument with someone whom appeared to be his partner. He got into his truck and drove it quite aggressively across the road to behind his building. My daughter was coming out of the thrift store. I see him put his truck into reverse when she was behind him. The way he was so angry I wasn't sure if he was going to just floor it out of there without seeing her, so I yelled stop, which thankfully he did. Besides this attitude. The ice cream was not worth the $6 we paid. The portion size for the poutine was good, but not the best poutine I've ever had. Won't be returningThe 5 out of 5 for service is solely due to the young man who was serving us. I feel bad he has to work with this miserable human
Most disgusting ice cream I've ever had and super expensive fries, just don't
Always fresh, the poutine here is a MUST TRY! And the gravy is gluten free : I always stop in when passing through Kaslo.Dietary restrictions: The gluten-free gravy is 10/10
