フィードバックを提供するFirst of all a huge Mahalo to Yelp Hawaii and Mālama Learning Center for the opportunity to take part in the Calabash Cooks event at Kapolei High School which was an outstanding experience for me and my plus one.Upon arrival we were greeted by the Mālama staff with students assisting in every which way with meet and greets which I thought was simply adorable! We were a general admission and were instructed all foods are grab and go, in the back is an area for silent auction and not to miss the country store. In the cafeteria are vip guests that have reserved seating with the students bringing the food items on serving trays while being entertained is groovy. Me and my bestie was just blown away with the foods prepared by both sponsors and local area High Schools. She loved it so much she went back to find out what's in it and the recipe which the sweetest student was delighted to do so. I then entered the silent auction and did bit on a couple items (didn't get it) then to the country store tent filled with plants, handmade crafts and even soaps made by Mālama volunteers and so much more! We couldn't resist a plant, several soaps, a surfboard rug and why not it's all for a great cause! It's so inspiring how they bring awareness to students to look outside the box and explore other possibilities as we met students with so much passion and was so excited with their direction...yes!! It's sure been decades since I've graduated from high school and my how I'm just amazed how things have changed for our bright future to dream and do.Thank you!
Mixed feelings as a parent. It's a beautiful campus. Heard mostly good things about the teachers and administration here from our Freshman daughter. The football team was terrible this year. Our daughter made some friends here but had some difficult times because she was white.
Terrible staff and students. I really don't like attending this school because the core curriculum is just weird and staff doesn't care about fights or even any bullying that goes on. School lunch sucks and the classroom carpets literally stink.
As a student, you may find yourself coming home with a lot of homework assignments and projects to work on which can be very stressful. Teachers and staff? As a former student, at least they know and understand I have the right to be in school without anyone annoying me, scaring me, or making me feel miserable unlike Kapolei Middle School.
I really can only base my review off of random visits for the farmers markets, the fair, eat the street and a couple of soccer games my brother has played on the field... From the outside Kapolei High looks like a great school. Everything is pretty up to date being that it's less than 20 years old. Lots of parking, seems like 3 different parking lots spread throughout the outer perimeter. So for games and gatherings that's super awesome. The amount of land/open space that is available makes it the perfect spot for big events like the Kapolei fair. As for watching my brothers soccer team, it was a really great experience for my family. The bleachers are great. Lots of space, easy for everyone to see the field, very well lit. The snack bar is manned by other students and parents, well on our visit it was. Love the support everyone has for each other. I was expecting to have to pay to watch the game but for whatever reason that game was free, cool too. Anyways, I hope to have a lot more visits before my little brother graduates. Btw the Kapolei soccer team is dominating right now, nice! I'll update as I get a glimpse of more of the campus for sure. But until then, keep up the good work Kapolei!
