Saimin Dojo - Kapaa

The food and service were excellent. If you're looking for authentic local cuisine, I highly recommend trying the laulau, although it could use a bit of improvement. Everything else we tried, like the chicken noodles, was delicious!

I expected the food to be mediocre, but it actually delighted my taste buds! I started with the Poke Nachos and the Lechon Pork Belly, which came with mac salad and rice. For dessert, I indulged in the Ube and Lilikoi Cheesecake—so delicious! I really wish I had more vacation time to return!

I tried the Chile pepper chicken, and one of us paired it with fried rice while the other chose noodles. Both options were fantastic! The mac salad was a nice touch, especially since the chicken was quite spicy. For dessert, we had mini cheesecakes in ube and passion fruit flavors. The ube was tasty, but the passion fruit was absolutely amazing!

The Lechon called to me... crispy pork with onions and sweet tomato. The sauce was spicy-vinegary yummy. I chose rice and Mac as my added sides. Friendly staff. Picked it up and enjoyed it elsewhere. They have clean, indoor seating. Don't miss their UBE cheesecake (purple yam).
