O'dowd's Gastrobar - Kansas City

The food is good but not great. The new menu is disappointing and there are not that many options. I think the food will have to be improved if they hope to complete with all the other restaurants on The Plaza.

Food was good, feels like a fancier restaurant rather than a sports bar, but it was very loud.

The food was fine, but we had really awful service. Our waitress hardly checked on us and because of this we had to wait an unusual amount of time for our checks and for water refills. The restaurant was not very busy at this time. We were left without silverware but luckily a busboy passed by and we were able to request some. The food was good, but I would not recommend dining here. This is a great place to party at night or grab drinks in the early evening, but I would not recommend dining.

While our food was good the service was terrible. The manager ? we think kept pacing back forth scanning the restaurant at one point even bringing out the mop bucket to mop the dining areas no they weren’t closing or even close to it . He never once asked if we needed anything or instructed our waitress chatting the bar much of the time to on us. It was disappointing while food was “fine” we won’t be back due to the service strange vibe. Seems like an old bar vibe w/new interior design. Just doesn’t mesh well.
