Your Kailua pig and Luau beef is fresh and tasty. Your Poi is okay, I had better Poi at Helena in Honolulu. It's fresh. Your dessert, the sweet lady of Waiahole, is to die for We visited twice. Once before the COVID, when it maps outdoor seating as, but waiting for food was long. The second time we ordered online and pick up was a breeze. They also have Chinese dried plums. Prepare, there was restroom service inside, not sure about now. The seat inside looked clogged. We never sat. I would say take a take-out and sit in one of the many parks in the area to enjoy the delicious food.
Great place to taste traditional Hawaiian food (you will eat poi! They only take out, and they have a good choice of things to try with good taste. Poi may not try your favorite thing though it may be a texture problem for some. I liked the dessert we have very much!
The best ice cream I've had for a long time! Rich and creamy with taro root on the bottom. They have all traditional Hawaiian dishes and the portions are large. This place is full. There is no food available, so drive a bit north and you? ll eat some parks and beaches with tables. Definitely worth a stop if you?
We were inspired by the YouTube channel dining on a dime to visit! Everything about this place screams local. It was obvious the food was home cooked/made from scratch. My husband and I both loved our lunch plates, feeling it was likely one of the most authentic meals we had on our visit.
