Residents' Beach House - Kailua-Kona

Must’ve gotten the non member treatment. Arrived with two hungry kids and waited as at least 3 other tables of guests who arrived after us got served their entire meals before we even got our drinks and apps. Waited >45 mins for apps drinks. This was at 30% capacity at best. Finally apps came and were underwhelming. Ceviche app was mediocre and kids’ meals are only the entree pizza is just a pizza with no sides. Got my wife’s drink order wrong (she ordered an IPA and got a lager. It’s right on the ocean so you can’t beat the ambience, but I think the captive Ritchie Rich golf club members are the target customers. If you’re a non member save your time and you can get better food and save time and elsewhere.

Food is great. View is awesome and usually not very crowded. One of my fav place near Kona

Our meal here was fantastic. I got the swordfish chef special which was one of the best meals I've ever had. Out table was next to the walkway and the sound of the ocean made our meal something special. If you are looking for a romantic dinner on your vacation I would recommend stopping in, it's a little expensive but worth it.

Gorgeous setting but the shrimp was overcooked and the risotto was too rich with cream cheese or something so I couldn't eat it all
