Ultimate Burger - Kailua Kona

Probably like a 3.4 star. We're here shortly after 1:00. Place was super packed. Probably waited 20 minutes after our order. No complaints on the burgers or the fries. Would go back. See picture of the menu.

Smaller size burger. Ordered medium rare but got one that was well done. Others in party (5) failed to receive as ordered. French fries were good. Drinking water was despensed looking pink. Take out order placed after eating, took >35min.

Grass fed beef, organic ingredients, yummy fries, good prices. The burgers themselves were a bit dry, but I added some of the aioli and it was perfect!

They truly have some of the best tasting burgers on the west side that I have personally had, always made the way I requested, the salads are also well put together with never bitter lettas, I add a patty or fish to the top for some bonus protein. The fries are also worth getting if you love a great fresh cut flavor, this type of great tasting fries I have only found at one other place on the big island, they are really good.

25$ Mess It was a busy night, so 15 minute wait was very reasonable. Staff was very professional and fast! I was impressed with the service. I was very hungry so I ordered a triple patty lava burger, rare. The burger came out fairly quickly and cooked to my specifications. The burger itself was mostly disappointing; the top and bottom bun were so tiny, soggy and weak that eating it by hand like a traditional burger was out of the question. Cutting it with a knife also seemed impossible because the burger was so soft that it just ripped apart. I resorted to just cramming it in my mouth, and in the process it basically became mush. Not a very enjoyable experience. The taste was okay, however, with a Lava Burger one would expect some heat. Tasted just like any other burger made with high quality beef. The fries were EXCELLENT. Cannot ovelook the fact that it was 25 dollars and I was still hungry. Value is not there, at least for the triple Deckers. Ken's house of pancakes sumo burger is superior and Tropics has a better tasting burger for less. I will try again soon but will get 2 single burgers and re do my review.
