Quecho Elevated Mexican Eatery - Julian

My husband and I came to Julian to celebrate his birthday, the weekend of Cinco de Mayo. After a short google search we chose Queschos. This restaurant is right in old town Julien, great parking and in a beautiful historic building. Our waitress and hostess Cara not only greeted us but helped us choose drinks, appetizers and our main course. Nothing disappointed! Great EVERYTHING! We will definitely be back. I'd like to add that we were also served by an amazing server named Ricardo who kindly told us about the name of the restaurant and helped us choose a specialty soda. Wonderful experience overall.

The only thing gluten free according to our server is the burrito bowl with chicken. It was very good with rice and beans, tomatoes, guacamole, and cheese. Gluten free ciders also available. Indoor, patio, and outside dining with music.Dietary restrictions: The only thing gluten free is the burrito bowl.

Food was very good. Portions were generous. Cute and clean, bathroom included. Service average, nothing to do brag about. They were getting ready to wrap it up for the evening. Located a little off the beaten track (a block North of Main St. , but well worth the trip.

Have to agree with others, the margaritas are disappointing. They tasted like water with lime juice. We had to request more syrup and that didn’t help much. No one could taste any alcohol in it and it had zero “buzz” effect, we felt like we were taken advantage of. Three of us tasted them and they would not be something we would get again. Also for the price the enchiladas should come with rice and beans. $7 more for rice and beans is ridiculous. The kids plate was appropriate for the price.

This place is outstanding. We usually stop at the Julian Station, load up on Hard Cider and head back. If we go to town. This is where we eat for sure. Picture’s are of the Molcahetes for 2 and its as much a unique experience as it is delicious. Guac is also amazing. Not too much of any one flavor. 10/10.Bit of local lore!
