Note: This review was from the summer of 2018 (around August), but I have only published it now due to it being incorrectly displayed on the wrong listing. There are multiple bars, restaurants and nightclubs inside the Doubletree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal, there's even a Starbucks and most of them are attached to each other, this one is probably right in the middle, next to Eastwood and The hotel Lobby, which it, of course, takes its name from. The Lobby Bar is probably that place familiar to most guests of the hotel, as one of two popular entrances, and the first you see after walking up from Amsterdam Centraal Station involves going through here, this ruins the bar atmosphere in my opinion, as people are constantly coming in and trying to get past you with suitcases, on their way in and out of the hotel, perhaps to check in nearby etc. There are also two televisions in the Lobby Bar, one is a small TV at the bar its self, and the other is located near multiple tables, next to the entrance to the Executive Lounge, both of which seem to have their own problems meaning it's hard to sit there and watch the television, without feeling like you are getting in the way which is the shame there's also the added disadvantage that they don't have sound on the TV's, instead they have music so despite showing multiple football matches here including Manchester City's 2 0 win over Arsenal, it lacks any atmosphere or buzz to sit here and watch the games. Prices are slightly higher than average mainly down to the Hilton often being seen as a premium hotel brand and it is a hotel anyway, and of course, the location being central. A small bar with a lack of atmosphere, probably best to visit as a last resort and not really anything else, the location also could be improved as the location basically forces holidaymakers to come through, due to a lack of atmosphere I'm struggling to warrant anything over a single one star rating for The Lobby Bar, I'm sorry to report which adds to the disadvantages of this place including pricing.
Nice little bar for cocktails and such.
Great area to chill at. Great food and drink options. Service staff are knowledgeable and kind. Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Inattentive servers and bartenders are the name of the game here. You have to ask for EVERYTHING. Food was okay. Waiting was tortuous.
