L'aragosta - Joppolo

Yes I was the only visitor on a weekday out of tourist season. Ok no pizza in a pizzeria (only weekend), so I took the grilled Tuna from the menu and asked for Some pasta on the side. What I got was ondercooked pasta with cubed tuna straight from a can. Had a lot of good food when visiting Calabria but this was by far the worst meal. I gave a 2 star rating because of the friendly staff, not the food.

We loved it very much... Nice view, fresh not frozen fish, charming People. What else could you demand We where sitting al fresco with the most beautiful view to the mediterranien sea. !!! We will come back

If you ever find yourself in seaside Joppolo.....you gotta walk uphill quite a bit for a decent meal. L'Aragosto is easily the best place in town, and worth the uphill stroll, if only to avoid the disappointing places down at the coast. The restaurant has a garden with fantastic views over the bay, the menu is traditionally Calabrian, the quality is excellent. We were so lucky the owner's brother (who happened to be in town) gave us a lift back to our house on the coast. That's beyond good customer care. But even without this great ending, we had a fantastic evening anyway. All praise.
