Applebees Grill - Joliet

The food was enjoyable, and the server was very friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable for the meals we had for four people.

We ordered the 2 for $25 dinner. My steak was decent, but my husband's was so tough that he couldn't eat it. The mashed potatoes were cold, while the broccoli was just okay. Our server, Carla, was very accommodating. We came here because we had a gift certificate, but we won't be returning.

They mentioned they were understaffed, but that didn't excuse the numerous mistakes made during our visit. Our waiter brought us the wrong order four times. To make matters worse, we were charged for one of those errors, and we only noticed it after we had paid. When we brought this to the manager’s attention, he didn’t bother to investigate the situation; instead, he insisted it was our error, not theirs. He did refund us in cash, but it didn’t cover the tip and tax already charged to our card. This was our first experience at Applebee’s, and it will definitely be our last.

We went there on 4.21.23. we felt welcomed and the ambience was good. The server took good care of us. We saw one server vibing herself with the dance moves for the music really appreciate it.The manager was friendly, helping the servers. The food quantity was pretty good enough for the price. Only one thing their boneless wings,tenders and onion rings was heavy battered which made little hard to eat. If they fix this this it would be great.

The food was OK their idea of medium well is to have the steak burnt. They were understaffed, the staff is under qualified, and our food was delivered without any way to cut the food. The manager came out to explain that all the silverware was being cleaned, and knives would be provided as soon as possible. Yet people who came in after us, while our food was sitting in front of us, somehow got knives before us. My wife who is the essence of sweetness and said that we will never return to any Applebee’s.
