Del Forno Northcliff - Johannesburg

I ordered pizza from here using Mr D. It was horrible, it was burnt and it looked like the person who was preparing it didn't wanna do it. Even the slices were terribly cut. I wouldn't recommend .

Ordered two pizzas via Uber Eats: one margarita with no cheese because of a dairy allergy, with other extras; then another one with extra mozzarella as well as other extras; and a sprite. Got two pizzas with NO cheese. And a warm coke. Whoever picked up the phone at the restaurant said it was how the order came- that everything is for someone with a dairy allergy and I should take it up with Uber Eats since I didn’t order directly from the restaurant. Poor service, even poorer response!

We had a couple of different pasta to share, these came up high on our presentation and taste rating. The pizza we shared was not up to the Del Forno standard we've enjoyed in other branches of Del Forno. Ingredients were skimpy and the pasta dough like eating cardboard. Otherwise good value and well worth a visit.

Great food, but seriously lacking when it comes to service. Even the basics (clearing the table, getting orders right, ensuring that there is cutlery on the table) are non-existent. They can learn valuable lessons from the Strubens Valley franchise.

Absolutely disgusting service. My order had arrive an hour late because they did not have a certain ingredient and they did not bother to inform me. There was no utensils or paper towels added as well and my food was cold. When I called to complain they informed me that the owner would call back which has not been done after 3 days.
