フィードバックを提供するI made reservations for a party of 6 and 8, as I couldn't get through on the phone for a Friday night. Unfortunately, I accidentally booked the table for 8 for the following Friday. We arrived 15 minutes early and were informed that the booking for 8 was on the wrong date. The table was intended for our children. The staff assured us that they would bring our children back, serve them food and then return for the adults. However, when we returned only 20 minutes later, our table had been given away. I was extremely frustrated and found the whole experience unprofessional. I will not be booking there again. Our night was completely ruined.
When the waitress approached us, she pointed out that our booking was for 8 people only. We explained our situation, but she insisted on their policy of only allowing a maximum booking of 8, suggesting that 2 of us could take our meals to go. This led to a heated exchange, with the waitress expressing her frustration loudly and the cook joining in aggressively. The conversation escalated in front of other customers, and we eventually decided to leave after being told to find another place for dinner. We ended up going to Hotel Jindabyne across the street, where we received excellent service despite the restaurant being full. The experience at Brumby Bar and Barbecue was truly disappointing and the staff's behavior was unacceptable.
We had a nice experience. The food was nice, fast to the table and the service was friendly! The children loved their ice cream treatment! Thank you.
Asked at the bar to watch the first AFL game of the season and the lady was very accommodating. Great, although not large, selection of beers ciders. Ordered a chicken Parmy really delicious, crispy with the perfect amount of tomato cheese, well...seasoned, crispy chips fresh salad. Partner had a very nice eye fillet. Would definitely visit again. Cosy vibe and frequented by locals.
We were very disappointed that this establishment continues to maintain the segregation policy when it is no longer a legislative requirement. The irony of it is, they have their unvaccinated and unmasked young son greeting all customers through the door, yet his wellbeing was the...reason for their stance. Surely these people realise that you can catch this virus off a vaxxed person. We’ll choose to spend our money at alternative venues.
