Service was quick. Prices were good. Food came out fresh and hot, all at the same time. Hardly anyone there on a Sunday for lunch. Ambience was really good. Just wasn't too amped on the food, in general. Chicken was cooked to perfection — just we didn't like how everything tasted. Seasoning and sauces just simply weren't to our liking; someone probably likes it, but for us — just wasn't it.

The buttermilk pie with is fantastic and what I usually order when I am close to the area. The corn griddles are also great. Good chicken and sandwiches.

Big's has become a part of my takeout rotation. The fried mac and cheese balls are a junk food dream, and their jojos are perfect. I really enjoy their fried chicken sandwich with house made pickles, and the banana pudding is perfect. The price is very reasonable and the house made sauces compliment the food. Inside, it's a nice casual spot, but I tend to get takeout more. Big's is a solid choice in Portland.

Went there to have some chicken sandwiches and they were amazing. The Jo Jo’s were spot on nicely seasoned and fresh. Definitely recommend if you like chicken.

Awesome, unique chicken spot. Great jojos, tasty sauces, and smokey chicken (fried or not). If you’re craving something halfway between BBQ and fried chicken, this place should be your #1.
