We had visited this hotel, only a family event in a hall, next to the restaurant, without a stay at the hotel. The food was very good, but the room was very bald. The mobilar had many, many years behind. Unfortunately!

Was there for the first time with my family, unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. To the appetizer I had a mango gazpacho with basil sorbet would have been a good dessert unfortunately only sweet had no spices with a gazpacho or but the blinis were still blurred, fat-triefing and very very dark roasted of the shrimp salad was not simply from the pack on the blini on it no spices that had nothing to do with cooking, on a note to the service was not reacted. Also the main dishes were disappointing the carving, which cook gives this to a guest?The potatoes from the salad were almost raw. Cattle fillet had not desired degree and supplements were once again not seasoned.We were very disappointed. The Hotel Schwarzer Bär is an institution already at GDR times. Beautifully located in the heart of Jena and the marketplace is only 2 minutes walk away.A very friendly and accommodating service nice team, the rooms are nicely equipped and tastefully decorated.All neat and very clean Beautiful buffet breakfast. In any case recommend!Only small thing... there is no hotel or lobby bar. Beverages only a bit of a pity at the dining times in the restaurant!
