Smitty's Smoke House - Jasper

Smitty brought our family together for a wonderful meal. The brisket and sausage were outstanding, and the chicken along with all the sides were delicious. The ordering and pickup process was incredibly easy. This five-star review is well deserved!

Fantastic! Cowboy Pie recommend, this is better than we get great. Yum yum. The meat is delicate, the bbq sauce is sweet, but it works super. Pinto or beans your choice. sour cream and green onions, you can choose white onions and jalapeños. Very good.

Reason for giving 3 stars is I ordered a 2 meat and a 3 meat plate, I have never been told that I cannot have 2 or 3 of the same meats, for example I wanted 2 orders of sliced brisket and sausage on the 3 meat plate. The server was a bit rude and saying I can't do that. Excuse me but I am paying and I want a 3 meat plate why can I not get 2 of the same on 1 plate? The food is good a bit pricey for the portion sizes. I do LOVE their potatoe salad, cant find better. Sliced brisket is good, ribs are great. Service at the counter leaves you wanting. Probably should have a class on customer service. Owner is very nice, he comes in my work all the time and he seems to always wanting his business to do well. Would recommend a bit bigger portions for the price and allow your customers to be allowed to get what they want.

Very disappointed. My husband and I ordered two chopped brisket sandwiches and dirty rice which both tasted like they were out of a box. Barely any brisket flavor and overpowered by nasty BBQ sauce. The Mac n cheese, potatoes and corn were good. We also ordered blackberry cobbler and peach cobbler. They also tasted like they were frozen from a store and just thawed out... barely any flavor and not even sweet. $50 not well spent. ?

I had a wonderful lunch here! The special stuffed potato was made with yam, and the seasonal offerings of ham and sweet potato cheese were absolutely delicious!
