Uncle Charlies - Jacksonville

The best pizza in Jax, have been going there for 39 years. The subs and pasta dishes are great too.  This is the only pizza I eat.  The 2 large special is a great deal.

When I first came from Boston 26 yrs ago, the only pizza shops around were Domino 's and Pizza Hut then there was this pizza buffet.  In my opinion they were nasty.  Then I was driving down Lane Ave. one day and saw this little hole in the wall 'Uncle Charlie 's '  there was one in Boston, so I tried it.  OMG I was home!  They use Piantedosi bread and dough for their subs and pizza, and  I grew up on that bread was at their factory almost daily for french bread, sub roll, and jr rolls. I brought their pizza home to my family and that was that the only pizza, hot subs and antipasto we ate came from Uncle Charlie 's.  Now I have nieces and nephews here in Jax that will only eat italian from there unless I cook it.  Love this place and the people who run it are the best.  I don 't even have to give my name when I call in the order they are like family.  If you don 't go there your missing a great experience.  Their pizza<br/  is the real thing not a frozen shell, not garbage!!!

Love love love. Best pizza in town. We get the 2 lg cheese pizzas for $12.50. So good. The staff is great. I'm from NJ reminds me of the pizza joints from home. Love it.

Best Pizza. I have been eating here since I was a teenager. Still so good. They really do have the best pizza and their canolis are yummy too. Now I have a child of my own and he prefers their pizza over pizza chains. Thanks Uncle Charlies:

Great. I have been going to uncle charlies pizza for about 15 years now and it has never changed. Still the same great Pizza and Calzone it has always been.. As far as taste this is the best I have had anywhere in Jacksonville and I have been here 25 years.. Not to mention they have the best price as well.... Very friendly people and Charlie actually runs the place : .... I will continue to go there as long as they are around..
