It's the only spot in town that still serves a spinach quesadilla. We were a party of four, and our total bill came to just $30! I shared a fajita with my mom, and we both had plenty left over for lunch the next day. The parking lot is quite small, which can make parking a challenge, but we arrived early enough to find available spots. Otherwise, you often have to park down the street in the Panera lot and walk over. The service has been lacking lately, but the food makes it all worthwhile. They really should consider a remodel to improve the overall experience.
La Nopalera has been voted the best Mexican in Jacksonville for the last 3 years. It is delicious! The location isn't the best. There is next enough parking so people end up parking in any free space available. The building is also a little shady. The walls and floors are always dirty but if you can look past that, you won't be disappointed with the food. The prices aren't bad either for the amount you get. We always have enough for lunch the next day.
The food is outstanding, and the Mexican staff provide quick service. The margaritas and large beers offer great value. The menu is diverse, featuring authentic Mexican cuisine rather than just Tex-Mex. Definitely give it a try!
La Nopalera has turned into our favorite restaurant to eat at whenever and take out of town friends to. We have enjoyed the service and authentic tastes of almost every dish!
I am really impressed with this restaurant. It is one of the best places to eat in Jacksonville. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and many of the staff speak Spanish. I highly recommend this place; the prices are affordable, and the experience is truly amazing.
