Ida Claire Jacksonville

The food is amazing here. We started off with the biscuits, which came with a smoky bacon gravy, honey butter and pineapple/strawberry jam. Well worth it. Then we had the smoked pork chop which came with a medley of sweet potatoes, kale and peppers. The other entree was Nashville hot chicken tenders on pimento cheese toast served with pickles. We also tried the lobster mac and cheese. Everything was perfect. Service by Tyler H was incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable with every aspect of the menu and how items are cooked. He gave excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is wonderful. We will definitely be back soon.

Food was awesome and tasted like it was made from scratch. My **** Mary was served with a small appetizer, and tasted delicious. My husband tried one of theirs pitcher drinks and said that there was too much sweet mix in it vs alcohol content. Service was excellent, atmosphere was great and whole place felt welcoming.

Husbands steak and eggs were good but my biscuits were undercooked and cold when delivered. The potatoes were cold but I don't like the kind they serve. The fruit was hard as a rock, so that was a total loss-basically I just had ham and eggs with biscuits.

Came here after school shopping for lunch. Made reservation and seated almost immediately. We ordered Ida’s biscuits which was a sampler of mini biscuits, jam and gravy. Gravy was light and fluffy almost whipped. Very spreadable wouldn’t classify it a gravy more of a spread 8/10. Biscuits with the jam and butter 10/10. I got half half sandwich and soup. They were out of oysters for poboy so I opted for the Monte Cristo 10/10 the soup I forget what it was 7/10 very herby. Son ordered Nashville tenders he rated 7/10. Liked the breading but the chicken itself and the hotness wasn’t up to par with his experience at other places 7/10 but it was a perfectly cooked tender juicy chicken. Not a fan of chilled cake but Ding Dong cake became a 9/10 After we let it get room temp at home. Moist and flavorful layers of chocolate cake. Overall 8/10 for food.

Hidden gem! What took us so long to try this place?! The food was delicious and fresh. Everyone was friendly. But let me say, Andrew stood out! He was super nice and provided education and recommendations on menu items. And, he wasn't even our server. We will be back for sure!
