Whenever I visit friends, I always bring pastries or baked goods, and I prefer pies with fillings. They cook deliciously, although I think it's a bit pricey.
The food is fresh and delicious. Many of the salads are very tasty. The desserts are also quite good. However, the coffee has declined in quality; I used to come here primarily for it.
